Subject: Meir Wasserman
Dear Shalom Journeys:
The Soleds have arrived back from Israel. We had a wonderful time, but what made the trip particularly enjoyable was the time, energy, and dedication of our faithful tour guide. I probably don't need to tell you this, but Meir was the real McCoy. He knows his stuff inside and out. Kudos to you for somehow arranging him to be our Israeli "eyes".
Best, Jay A. Soled

Shalom Journeys.
Thank you for making the 20th tour I have led to the Holy Land the best one ever. The way you took care of every detail and went above and beyond what I expected has made me a Shalom Journeys client for a long, long time. I am already looking forward to our trip next year and will get you the details of the itinerary within the week, L-rd willing.
You and Aviva were so gracious to me and to every one of our guests; even those who had been before and those who travel a lot commented on how nice it was to work with such professionals. I will recommend your service to many and have, in fact done so to a couple whom we met in Jerusalem that bring groups every year like I do. They are working with a company that I have in the past and when I told them how easy you made everything, they turned their travel arrangements over to me; and that means to us. I expect us to grow in our relationship and to help many guests experience the Israel of Shalom...
Subject: THANK YOU:)From: Josh and Heather
Shalom Journeys!!! Greetings. I hope this note finds you doing well. We have been wanting to get back to you since we returned home from our AMAZING trip to Israel 2 months ago already. We are the couple that called you about 2 weeks before planning to go to Israel over Easter and Passover week. You had said you love working under pressure and we wanted to let you know that you did an awesome job arranging our day tours within the 2 weeks that you were given. Our tours ran so smoothly. The guides were always very prompt when picking us up at our hotels. Every detail was taken care of by you and your company that all we had to do was show up and sure enough there was the guide waiting to take us on our day tour. We were also very glad that we did decide to go with the day tours as opposed to the 8 or 9 day tour packages. It was nice having some days in between the touring to ourselves and exploring Israel on our own. Heck, we even rented a car one day and drove from Tel Aviv up North to Galilee. Needless to say, we became pretty comfortable in Israel. I know you said you never stayed at the Jerusalem Gate hotel and (though I'm very greatful that we had a place to stay in Jerusalem at all, given the busy time of year we planned to go, not to mention the short notice in booking a room) it definitely was not a hotel that we'd go back to. I'm not complaining, just letting you know for future reference. We also realized how far it was from the old city, so next time we go we know we'd like to stay closer to the old city. On the other hand, Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv was breath-taking in comparison! Not to mention the breakfasts were to die for. So thank you so very much Shalom for all of your help in arranging this unforgettable trip for us. We will never forget Israel and hopefully will be able to go back. We'd love to leave you a testimonial on your website. Take care The Muchmores (Josh and Heather)

Shalom Journeys, Thank you so much for providing the BEST service for my first trip to Israel. I was so pleased I did not want to return to USA. I want you to especially thank my tour guide Ronen, he went beyond and above the call of duty as a guide. I missed tipping him on the last day, however, what it is worth I think he deserves a promotion or pay raise. You guys are the 'BEST'. Thank you much and I hope to use your service in the future if GOD willing.REGINA PAGE
Subject: Upon return from the Jewish Heritage TourFrom: Beverly A Peress
My sister, Deborah, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. This was my fifth trip and her first. I am healthy and used to walking; she has a heart problem and tires. She departed from San Francisco, I from NY. After checking with you as to where we might expect your representatives, I felt more at ease, and, as scheduled, I was met by a sign-carrying representative. He found me a seat where I waited until my sister's plane arrived and we went together to the hotel.
The hotels (Dan Panorama) were excellent and of course the Israeli breakfasts are incomparable. As we wanted, there were a maximum of 9 or 10 other people on the tour. One disconcerting fact that was not really a problem was that all the people had booked from different tour operators--I believe we were the only two who had booked directly with you. The tour guides were from "Rent A Guide," which left me a little nervous, but Jacky, our first guide, was beyond belief. He was patient and concerned about my sister and playful with the 13-year-old boy in the group. He was also very knowledgeable and dealt well with political questions without imposing his personal beliefs. He was with us from Sunday-Friday. There was a bit of confusion prior to the start of the tour, since there were so many groups waiting in the lobby and we had no idea who to look for. When he left us on Friday, he had the name of the second guide and time of departure. He knew that the following week he had 40 people in his group, which made me wonder if we would have been in a larger group had we traveled the following week, something that would not have been good. The second guide was rather weak-not nearly as personable, but we were with him only a few days. The volcanic ash incident occurred during the last few days and many of us were nervous. He offered no help, but the young man at the desk of the Eilat Dan Panorama was wonderful and managed to call the airport and find out that my flight was scheduled to depart. I had a very early morning departure (6 AM) and my driver was 30 minutes late. I had already asked the front desk to call a taxi. The taxi driver and my driver arrived almost simultaneously, my driver offering no apology. And you know what Ben Gurion Airport is like! Your itinerary was very comprehensive and almost everything I saw was new. Petra was beyond expectations and the transitions between the two countries were smooth. I would (and have donealready) recommend your company.

Subject: Hello from the Fenners! From: Claudia and Sam Fenner
Dear Shalom Journeys, We just got home this morning from Israel and I wanted to email you right away about what an amazing experience we had on our trip because of you. Every detail that you organized for us (the hotels, the tour guide, the airport transfers) was perfectly executed. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation because you did all the hard work for us. Our tour guide Hillel was the highlight of our trip. He was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, organized, interesting and funny that the two days we spent with him were just a total delight. Even though we were in Israel for less than a week we saw and experienced so much in that short time that it felt way longer than that. Thank you again for making our first visit to Israel so memorable and fun and easy. Sincerely, Claudia and Sam Fenner

Dear Shalom Journeys: We are back in Miami following a wonderful journey that you arranged. My compliments to you and Shalom Journey.. Everything went smoothly and it was as you predicted. My family, including my 5 year old grandson enjoyed a memorable experience. Hillel is a very good guide, driver and kind person who did more than the usual guide. His knowledge was extensive as was his patience. He made me a little nervous when he didn't call ahead the first day for the start pick up time -- but I found him. He is very good. Your call to us in his car as we traveled was a very nice follow up to see that all was going well as it did..
Thank you again for a good journey and your reliability. Harold Goldstein Miami Fl.

Hello Shalom Journeys, I am so sorry that it has taken us a few months since the return of our trip to email you and let you know how wonderful of an experience it was, (I know that I spoke to you the other day), and again it just proves how far you extend yourself to truly make your clients happy. Everything was very professional from beginning to end, and the guides were not only extremely knowledgeable but great HOSTS as well.
I really want to thank you for the hands on service that you gave us, even speaking with you the other day, you continue to be of great service after the fact. I think that anyone thinking about visiting the holy land should consider Shalom Journeys ONLY, and you can certainly use me as reference anytime.

Shalom Journeys, I cannot thank you enough for your help with our trip to Israel. We are in Tel Aviv and very happy with all you have done for us. We had my daughter's Bat Mitzvah at the wall yesterday with Rabbi Karzen and it was wonderful. Everything you told us about our trip has worked out fine and we love it here. The Dan Panorama Executive room is A plus and they even have free food for us most of the day. WE enjoyed the Jewish Heritage Tour and we learned a lot about Israel. You may use us as a reference if you like.
Thanks, Phil and Sheryl Snyder San Diego

Subject: I Posted this on Trip AdvisorFrom: Eric M. Silver
Shalom Journey: I have wanted to post my compliments about, and express my appreciation for, the professionals at Diesenhaus Tours and Shalom Journeys - but have been too busy since my family returned from Israel at the end of March, 2008. This thread gives me the PERFECT opportunity to do so now.
In my experience, both of these companies are long-standing, reputable, and extremely "traveler friendly" companies. Together, Shalom Even and his wife Aviva, owners of Shalom Journeys, efficiently assisted, educated, accomodated, and otherwise created a travel opportunity that exceeded my expectations in EVERY regard.
My wife and I searched the web, in January, 2008 looking for a trip that matched our schedule, budget, and objectives for a 10-day trip that we wanted to take in March -- a mere 60 days later! We bought travel insurance; we cancelled travel insurance; we booked the trip - and then we "tweaked" it to even better fit the spring break of our children. Shalom and Aviva worked with us with care, consideration, and expertise that clearly demonstrated their decades of experience. I called Shalom no less than 6 times. Each and every time he had the details of my trip at his fingertips. He is a man with a heart of gold and a love for Israel and is passionate about helping his clients.
The tour company Diesenhaus provides Shalom Journeys with the product, the tools, the flexibility, the support and the "on-the-ground" delivery of services that make everyone involved look like heroes!
I would be pleased to work with both companies again and would be happy to share more details of our experiences.
Thanks, Shalom

We wanted to write to you to express our thanks for the excellent arrangements you made for our recent trip to Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. I know that we made you go above and beyond your normal services to meet all of our needs, especially the scuba diving.
All of the guides were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The travel plan was well thought out. All of our tour guides were on time and willing to accommodate our requests. In fact, Gerges Sh. Ayad, our tour guide in Egypt volunteered to take one evening and escort us to the Old Market for a tour, dinner, and a show.
As for the tours in general, we were very surprised that we were not on a large tour bus with 50 – 60 others. We were scheduled to travel in a van with 7 other people. This was very comfortable. We were able to see much more than those in the tour buses basically because we were such a small group and did not waste time loading/unloading the bus and loosing people. At one point, we talked to a couple from a tour bus at lunch. They said that they were already 2 hours behind schedule for the day and were not going to be able to visit all of the sites. We were able to visit all of the planned sites and were not rushed for time. In fact, we were able to make some additional stops that were not planned.
As for the SCUBA Diving; this was arranged by your office through Sinai Divers in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. They are truly a professional dive company. Their dive instructors are very thorough with the check out dives, provided a detailed tour of the dive shop and services, and presented excellent dive plans with much detail. Their boats (24 meter by 6-1/2 meter) were large and spacious. We did not feel rushed and a longer than usual surface interval was scheduled between each dive. We have been diving all over the world and this is, by far, the most professional dive company we have ever dived with. I have only one suggestion: the itinerary needed to have some additional detail as it was not as understandable as it could have been. Thank you again for all of your work,
Barb and Denny Gallagher.
Subject: Israel TourFrom: Bob and Maria Yane
Shalom Journeys: Bob and I were extremely happy with our trip to Israel, Jordan and Egypt organized by Shalom Journeys. As many seasoned travelers do, we have planned trips on our own. This trip, however, required perfect timing and knowledge of transportation options for visiting all of these areas as succinctly as possible.
The tour guides you arranged were on time at each place, including airport pickup. The guides were knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and all of them took us to all planned areas as well as a few extra "gems" along the way. The trip was effortless from the beginning to the end. You made sure all of our arrangements were perfect for flights, ground transport and accommodations.
Thank you again for your professional services. The trip was well worth the money paid. Feel free to use Bob and I as a reference for your tour company. Bob and Maria Yane Raleigh, N Carolin

Hello Shalom Journeys,
Here is a brief testimonial for you about our trip...
Having taken many tour groups to Israel over the past years I have both used tour companies and went 'on my own'. Shalom Journeys proved to be a wonderful company for our group trip this March. Everything was as advertised and the driver and guide were the best I have had to date. We received personal attention and every detail that our group wanted was provided.
I really enjoyed several options as we traveled that were not on the itinerary I designed. The guide came to understand our unique group and then made a couple of suggestions that fit us perfectly. One such place while on the Golan was the olive oil factory. What a treat.
I will be using Shalom Journeys again and again for my Israel tour connection. Everything was perfect. Thank you again.
Robert Lavala
PS - Shalom... I'm looking at March 1 - 12 for next year. Please let me know what my starting prices are if they are different from this year. Thanks.

Dear Shalom Journeys: I just want to thank you so much for your superb help with my clients, the Davis Family. When they came back they wrote a glowing report about the fabulous time they had and said that there was not even one thing for them to complain about. Your expert planning and attention to detail was seen in every aspect of their trip from the Christian tour you set up for them to their time in Petra and their hotel in Tel Aviv and transfer back to the airport. To not have a client complain is a huge accomplishment and you did it with flair!!! They are thrilled. This was a trip of a lifetime for this family and with your help they will remember it forever. I am anxiously looking forward to working with you in the future. Thanks again. Nancy Broth Caves Travel Inc

Shalom Journeys, we just wanted to check in with you to tell you that we had a wonderful trip. The Jewish Heritage trip itself was fantastic - both for first timers (like the Shacters were) as well as for us (it was our third trip). The sites chosen and the guide (Tomar) were truly wonderful and very knowledgeable Every detail was taken care of from the transportation details at all the airports to the actual guided trip.We also had a great time with Hillel as our guide for the trip through the Negev to Eilat. And by the way - we LOVED Petra (even though with security and all it was a long day). I would have rather somehow been on a smaller tour of Petra. We did a lot of waiting around and gathering of passports because we were set up on Echo Tours and they had 2 bus loads of a total of 80 people.) The hotels were all wonderful on the regular tour. I also wanted to update you on the Nova hotel in Eilat (since it was New Year's eve we couldn't get reservations in any of the other hotels). It was absolutely adequate. Clean, no frills, but a bit out of the way. Not terrrible, but certainly not great. But we did know to expect that since we had no other choices. Thanks for everything that you and Aviva did. We will certainly recommend you. Bonnie and John Salmon

Subject: About our TripFrom: "Lynette Seader"
Dear Shalom Journeys and staff, Please forgive the time lapse since we came home from our trip on October 17th. We were busy with family matters that have since settled. We had an unbelievable trip to Israel. Everything was very organized and presented on the Grand Tour. Our tour guide Tomar, was very informative and we learned so much and saw so much. The Dan Panorama Hotels were top knotch and the breakfast meals were so delicious. THe people who selected the lowest grade E were not nearly as happy as we were with D. We made wonderful friends from our bus including Emanull and Sofia Zhitomirsky from Boston that Aviva booked. They were on the same tour including Eilat. We merged with the Jewish Heritage Group that was twice as big.Let me know if you would like pictures of Benny Kahn, Alfred's son. He took us around the 1st couple days in Tel Aviv to Herzylia and we spent Shabbos with them at Boca Beach. We were enchanted with Jersusalem and spent many evening on Ben Yahuda street. We enjoyed Ramons, Olive, and Olive and Fish for Kosher and Adom and Dolphin for Friday & Sat (non-kosher). On our own we shopped in the shuks and did walking on our own in Jersualem and when we were in Tel Aviv. Diesengof street was not as lively as I remembered it my last visit in the 70's. We loved Haifa, Zfat, Gallelie and the Negev was beautiful. Lavi Kibbutz had wonderful food and Kibbutz life was very interesting to learn about. My husband is a fan of long vacations but this was a trip where he never complained, and felt very emotional about our Jewish Homeland. We have some much to be proud of in Israel. Thank you for your arrangements(2 times) for Shekeanu. We will recommend to you our friends at our synagogue. Sincerely. Lynette & Lenny Seader

Hi Shalom Journeys I just wanted to let you know that we just returned from our trip to Israel and Egypt and your arrangements were perfect. The trip was very enjoyable and there were no disappointments. We were met by representatives at every airport and the two touring agencies (Disenhaus and Emeco) were just fantastic. The Emeco people were very hospitable, especially Mr. Mohamed Aly in Cairo, and went out of their way to make sure everything went smooth, The tour guides for both companies were excellent.
