Jerusalem Tour Itinerary

Your tour will begin with a bus trip around the city to give you an overview of Jerusalem's sites, layout and the integration of ancient and modern life that exists here. From there, your guide will lead you on a walking tour of Jerusalem's most famous sites including:

• Mount Zion, the home of the tomb of King David.
• The Cardo, the remains of the ancient Roman Cardo. Still the main road in the Old City, the Cardo is lined with modern shopkeepers selling their keepsakes.
• The Via Dolorosa, known as "Sorrowful Way." This is the final path Jesus walked from his sentencing to his crucifixion. This old Jerusalem tour includes stops at all 14 Stations of the Cross.
• Church of Holy Sepulchre, which is recognized as the holiest Christian site in the world. This ancient church sits upon the spots where Jesus was both crucified and buried.
• The Western Wall, or Kotel, is all that remains of the Second Temple. It is the holiest Jewish prayer site in the world.

In the afternoon, your old Jerusalem tour will take you to Yad Vashem--the location of Israel's Official State Holocaust Museum. Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, so the Jerusalem day tours will visit Mount of Olives or another historically significant location on those days.

When preparing for your tour in Jerusalem, it is important to remember that tours of holy sites require both men and women to dress modestly. 
Shorts are inappropriate for both genders and women should have both their shoulders and knees covered. Men must remember to cover their heads at Jewish holy sites and uncover their heads at Christian holy sites.
