Tour Plan

The 14 and 16 days Adult Jewish Tours are designed to perfectly fit the needs of the older traveler who wish to explore Israel in a comfortable, relaxed and socially enjoyable atmosphere. 

On each part of the tour, we will make sure that you enjoy an attentive service, maximum accessibility and that you will have nothing to worry about except enjoying and experiencing the beautiful land of Israel.

Please note, the difference between the 14 and 16 adult Jewish tours is the Eilat extension (flights to and back to Tel Aviv included).  

 

Day 1  - Flight from the US to Israel

Please note, prices listed in the price tab does not include air fares. We will be happy to take care of your air tickets as well. 

 

Day 2 - Arrival and Welcome to Tel Aviv

Our representative will meet you outside the planes door and lead you through the VIP arrival hall and customs procedures which will ensure a quicker and much more comfortable landing. Our representative will also make sure that everyone retrieve their luggage and will lead you outside the terminal to meet with your guide, driver and bus.

From Ben Gurion air port we will have a short drive to the Renaissance hotel on the beautiful seaside of Tel Aviv. During the ride you will be briefed on the next day activities and schedule. 

Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore the seaside promenade or the streets of Tel Aviv.

In the evening, we will all meet for delicious welcome dinner at the Maganda Restaurant (Yemenite). 

 

Overnight - Hotel Renaissance Tel Aviv and Jaffo


Day 3 - Tel Aviv

After grand Israeli breakfast, we will to the old port city of Jaffo in the southern part of Tel Aviv. We will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Tel Aviv and explore the narrow street of this old and beautifully preserved city now housing a variety of art galleries, stylish cafes and restaurants.

From Jaffo we will head to Independence Hall. We will view and listen to a moving presentation of Late Prime Minister David Ben Gurion’s Declaration of Independence which established the State of Israel, right at this hall.

We will drive around Tel Aviv to enjoy its unique architectural style and launch at the fashionable Sheinken Street with some free time that will enable you to explore the weekly artists fair at Nachalat Binyamin st.

After lunch, we will drive to Rechovot to visit the Ayalon Institute, which was once a secret munition factory that supplied the Hagana, which later was the basis for the Israeli defence forces.

You will have the evening at leisure after a Kabalat Shabat dinner at our hotel.

Day 4 - Shabat at Leisure in Tel Aviv

Enjoy the Shabat either resting in your hotel, at the beach or exploring the streets, cafes and restaurants of Tel Aviv.

Day 5 - Caesarea, Ein Hod, Mt. Carmel, Haifa

After breakfast, we will head north, on the coastal highway toward the ancient city of Caesarea. Built by King Herods this was once a magnificent port city and an important cultural and govermantal centre of the Roman empire. You will enjoy a new audio-visual presentation that demonstrate how life in Caesarea looked like 2000 years ago. 

The ruins include an Amphitheatre, a Hippodrome (for horse and chariot racing), and a magnificent Aqueduct for carrying water into the city. 

 

Our next stop will be the village of Ein Hod, where we will explore the artists' galleries and workshops. You will have the chance to shop for unique gifts and authentic art and craft. Ein Hod lies on the western slopes of Mt Carmel, surrounded by an ancient olive grove in a breathtaking landscape overlooking the old crusader fortress of Atlit.

From Ein Hod we will ascend Mt. Carmel through breathtaking views, for a truely magnificent panoramic view of Haifa's Bay and the world heritage site of the Bahai Gagrdens.

 

In the evening we will enjoy a dinner at a local restaurants.

Day 6 - Akko, Rosh Hanikra and Galilee Region

After breakfast, we will leave Haifa and head north along the coast to the city of Akko (Acre) which was once the capital city and the last fortress of the Crusaders. The city of Akko is built layer on top of a layer with underground passages and secret allies and halls that were once the home of various knight orders. We will visit the old British prison where members of the Hagana and Irgun were held captive during the British mandate and learn about one of the most daring operations of the Jewish underground movement - the escape and rescue from the Akko prison. This event and site featured in the famous movie "Exodus".

Our next stop will be the northernmost point of Israel -  Rosh Hanikra, on the border with Lebanon. We will descend by cable car into the beautiful natural limestone Grottos below.

Our day will end at a luxurious Kibbutz Guest House followed by dinner. After dinner, we will have an opportunity to listen to a kibbutz representative, who will explain to us about kibbutz life.

Day 7 - Golan Heights, Tzfat

We will begin this beautiful day by with a scenic drive to the Golan heights which dominant the ladnscape of northern/eastern part of Israel. 

We will learn about the complex and rich history of this region including its important role in current events. We will visit Kibbutz El Rom and learn about the fierce battles that took place here in the 1973 Yom Kippur war. 

We will watch an Imax movie about the Golan Heights and its importance for Israel's security.  

From the Golan Heights we will head to the old city of Tzfat. After the fall of Jerusalem on 70 AC, Tzfat rose as the new Jewish centre and today it is an important Kabbalistic centre. 

We will have the chance to explore and enjoy the streets and alleys of this mystical city.

 

Overnight at Kibbutz HaGoshrim in the Upper Galilee

 

Day 8 - Dead Sea

Our day will begin with a magnificent drive, descending to the sea of Galilee and heading south through the Jordan valley. Quickly the landscape will change until we will find ourselves in the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea in the heart of the Judea Dessert. We will travel south to the legendary mountaintop plateau of Masada. We will take a cable car to the top of Masada and explore the ancient fortress which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their struggle against the Roman empire.

The Jewish warriors held out for three years against the legions of Flavius Silva and chose to die as free men at their own hands instead of going into exile and life of slavery.

Next we will head to the Dead Sea resort of Ein Bokek where we will check in at the Isrotel Hotel. 

You will have the chance to enjoy the SPA and other facilities the hotels has to offer.

Day 9 - Dead Sea at Leisure

A day at leisure on the shore of the Dead Sea. Enjoy the sun a traditional Dead Sea Mud Bath or any other of the many facilities and attractions available to you. 

In the afternoon we will drive to Jerusalem, check-in to our hotel and enjoy a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 10  - Old City of Jerusalem

After breakfast at our hotel, we will proceed to the Old City of Jerusalem and enter through the Dung Gate to the Southern Wall excavations. We will explore the ruins and the Robinson Arch, which used to lead the high priests into the Temple. In the same complex, we will enter the museum of the Davidson Center, for an audio/visual presentation of the Temple Period.

We will proceed through the broad stone stairway down to the holy Western Wall - the "Kotel". We will join a breathtaking tour into the Western Wall Tunnels which will give us a glimpse of life in Jerusalem at the second temple period (2000 years ago). Inside, a most interesting model shows the different dwelling periods and history of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Stand on the site believed to be the nearest spot to the "Holy of Holies".

 

We will Continue to the Jewish Quarter, which was reconstructed after the city was unified during the second day of the Six-Day War in 1967. A special point of interest in the restored Jewish Quarter, is the "Cardo", meaning the "heart" of this ancient Byzantine City. We will view the unearthed main Roman thoroughfare and ancient marketplace lined with columns.

You will have the chance of enjoying the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 11 - Shabat at Leisure in Jerusalem

After Shabbat breakfast, you will enjoy a Shabbat at leisure in Jerusalem. You can attend a local Shabbat service at one of the local synagogues or just absorb the special atmosphere of Jerusalem during Shabbat.

In the evening after Shabbat, feel free to explore the streets of Jerusalem, such as Ben Yehuda Street where many young Jerusalemites gather. Walk along the Midrehov and see the many artists displaying their jewellery and crafts, as well as many sidewalk cafes.

Day 12 - Yad Vashem and the Western "New" Part of Jerusalem

On this day we will explore some of the most important sites of the new, modern part of Jerusalem. We will begin with an emotional visit to the Yad Vashem holocaust museum.

We will continue to the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament and visit the Chagall Hall (Paintings) as well as the observation area of the Knesset.

We will then Proceed to the Israel Museum and visit a scale model of Jerusalem during the second template period, which recreates Jerusalem in 66 CE - the year where the great ravolt of the Jewish people against the Roman empire erupted.

We will also pay a visit to the Shrine of the Book, which is located in the same complex. We will see the original Dead Sea scrolls and learn about their significance of our understanding of Jewish history. Our day will end with a visit to Ammunition Hill (Givat-Hatahmoshet) where one of the fiercest battles for Jerusalem, in the six days war took place. Today it is a memorial and a museum to the IDF paratroops which faught heroecly and won this important battle.

 

In the evening we will enjoy our Gala dinner.

Day 13 - Day at Leisure and Going Back Home

After check-out we will store our luggage in a shared room and enjoy a last day of leisure in Jerusalem.

In the evening we will drive to Ben Gurion air port for our flight home.

On request, you will be able to have a late check-out for extra cost.

 

Day 14 - Flight Back Home

Flight back home, Israel - US.
