Israel Coastal Tour Plan

The coastal day tours depart every morning from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. From here, you will travel along Israel's coastal highway to the historic city of Caesarea. Named in honor of Caesar Augustus, Caesarea was once the administrative capital of Roman Judea. It is now home to some of the country's most treasured ruins from the Roman and Crusader times.

Your tour will continue to Acre, one of the oldest, continuously occupied cities in Israel. From ancient Crusader ruins to evidence of Napoleon's failed naval siege on the city, you'll experience the rich history of Acre firsthand. As you walk through this old city, you'll also experience the modern life of Israelis who live in Acre now, from the busy Oriental Market to the coastal ports.

As you continue north along the Mediterranean coast, your Israel day tour will lead you to a city near the northern border of Lebanon. In Rosh Hanikra, you will take a cable car ride deep into the natural grottoes that were carved into the soft, chalk cliffs by the moving waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Formed over thousands of years, these grottoes run approximately 200 meters in length along the coast.

The daylong tour of the Israel Mediterranean coast will end in Haifa. Here, you'll visit the top of Mount Carmel and take in the summit views of Baha'i Gardens and Haifa Port.
