Classic Jewish Heritage Tour - Day 1Arival to Israel, hotel check in and overnight in Tel AvivYou will arrive at the new Ben-Gurion airport where you will be met by your tour representative and will be transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv - a bus drive of 20-30 minutes in low traffic.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour - Day 2Free Shabat in Tel Aviv.Tel Aviv is the perfect place to spend a relaxed Shabat and get rid of any Jet Lag leftovers. The city center of Tel Aviv, its beaches and attractions are all in a walking distance from your hotel. You will be able to sunbath at the beach, walk along the lively Neve Tzedek quarter or stroll around the old Jaffo alleys.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour - Day 3The Coast of Israel - Caesarea, Haifa, Acre (Aco) and Rosh HanikraWe will leave Tel Aviv heading north on the coastal road to Haifa. In less than an hour we will arrive to Caesarea (Keisaria), once the Roman capital of the region and an important crusaders' city and port. We will visit the excavations that includes a beautifully preserved aqueduct and amphitheatre.
Our next stop in our Jewish Heritage Tour is the city of Haifa. We will enjoy a magnificent panoramic view from Mt. Carmel of the city, the Bahaian Gardens, the port and the Gulf of Haifa. From there we will continue to “AF AL PI CHEN”, the naval museum of the illegal immigration to Israel at the time of the British mandate.
Heading north again we will arrive at Acre, an old crusaders´city and later an important Otoman port surrounded by thick walls that once stood firm against the army of Napoleon. Today it is a vibrant mixed city with unique Mediterranean atmosphere and magnificent sunsets.
Our last stop of the day is Rosh Hanikra, the northernmost point of Israel, on the border with Lebanon. We will decend by cabel car to into the limestone Grottoes.
We will then head to the lower Galilee and Kibutz Lavi where we will spend the night.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour - Day 4Safed, Golan Heights, Jeep Tour, Banias, Tel Hai and Upper GalileeOur day will begin with a visit to Safed, which became an important Jewish center after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AC and later rose as an important Kabla center. We will visit Safed's old synaguges and stroll around the artists quarter. We will then enjoy a scenic Jeep tour to the foot of the Golan heights and from there we will ascend to the Golan heights. We will learn about the fierce battles that took place here during the Yom Kippur war and the 6 days war and we will visit Tel Facher, a former Syrian army post and observe the Syrian city of Kunetra.
We will enjoy a visit to the nature resort of the Banias, one of the most important streams that flow to the lake of Galilee (lake Kineret).
Our next stop of our Jewish Heritage tour will be the northern Galilee at Tel Hai. We will hear about the heroic battle of Josef Trumpeldor and his pioneer comrades that fought for their life in this once remote settlement.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour - Day 5Tiberia, Beith Shean, Gilboa Mountain, Jordan Valley and JerusalemWe will begin the day with a bonding ceremony to the land of Israel in which you will plant a tree. We will then head to the old city of Tiberia, on the shore of lake Kineret and visit the Rambam's grave. Our next stop will be the ruins of Beit Shean, a magnificent archaeological site which is the largest in Israel. The park offers a glimpse into Roman and Byzantine periods with its beautiful preserved market, theatre, mosaics and public buildings.
On our way to the Gilboa mountain we will Stop at Beit Alpha to see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue from the Byzantine period. We will enjoy a refreshing break at Ein Hashlosha spring (Sachne) at the foot of the Gilboa mountain, which was the setting for King Saul's epic and tragic battle against the philistines. Through the Jordan valley we will head to Jerusalem where at the top of Mount Scopus we will enjoy a panoramic view of Jerusalem and will be able to perform a traditional blessing before entering the old and new capital of Israel.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour Day 6Mount Zion, Old City, Western Wall Tunnels, Davidson Centre, David TowerThis day is dedicated entirely to the Jewish heritage and historical sites in Jerusalem. We will begin the day with a visit to King's david tomb near the Zion gate. We will continute through the old Roman market (Cardo) to a visit to the old Sefaradic synagogues that were restored after the 6 days war and the unification of Jerusalem. We will then "dive" into the second temple period with a visit to the Western Wall tunnels. Our day will also include a visit to davidson centre, the famous Arab bazar and the tower of David next to the Jaffo gate.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour Day 7Western Wall, New Jerusalem - Mea Shearim, Israel Museum and Dead Sea Scrolls, Holliland 2nd Temple Model and Yad VashemWe will start our day with a visit to the Kotel (Western Wall). Families who will wish to celebrate their son's Bar Mitzvah will perform the ceremony here while the rest of the group will continue to Mea Shearim, the famous ultra Jewish orthodox neighborhood. We will continue with a short visit to the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and the Menorah, which is the symbol of the state of Israel. From there we will go to the renewed Israeli Museum and to the Shrine of the Book where the dead sea scrolls are kept. Our tour will go on to the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was in the 2nd temple period, more than 2000 years ago. We will then proceed to a visit of Mount Hertzel and pay tribute to the military cemetery and to the leaders of Israel who are buried there. We will then move on to a visit of the new Yad Vashem Holocaust museum. Our day will end with a visit to Ammunition Hill, an old Jordanian stronghold which was the site of a fierce battle during the 6 days war and is now a memorial site and a museum.

Classic Jewish Heritage Tour Day 8Dead Sea, Qumeran, MassadaThis day consist of just the right mixture of views, world heritage archaeological sites and well... fun! We will drive through the Judean Dessert to the site of Qumeran, where the dead sea scrolls were found. From there we will head to Massada, the ancient fortress and temple that was built by king Herod and was the site of the tragic and epic last battle of the Jews against the Roman empire during the first great rebellion.
